From 8 to 9, November, a group of CFETS-NEX employees made their way to Chongming Island to experience a two-day eco-trip which announced the end of all the training courses this year.

We began the day by cycling. Despite that 20 kilometers is a tough distance with the damp road and freezing wind, it was still an amazing autumn afternoon on the island. All the employees drank in the passing scene of row upon row of rape, of village halls, of sea and the beauty of countryside. All the efforts will be more worthwhile than ever.

Much expected cookout follows the cycling. The “rich” teams push crazy amounts of “money” they earned previously in purchasing ingredients for dinner which is envied by others. All employees cut and cooked food and some showed superb cooking skills.

After enjoying hand-made biscuits and hot pot, the whole group tore themselves away from the wonderful land.

One employee said: “From the cycling to the cooking, there was a real buzz and lots of interest. The goal itself of challenging oneself is vital. Again, thanks for the opportunity and great days. I think we all learned a lot.”
